Everytime your kindle fw updates you have to do this. Then go to kual>helper>install MR packages. Copy both bin files into the mrpackages folder of your kindle. You have to reinstall the screensavers hack and python. Is there any way to downgrade the firmware? It doesn't bother me extraordinarily, but the default screensavers are mostly ugly and I would much prefer my minimalistic screensaver. That seems to have been a mistake, because (last night!!!) my Kindle updated itself to firmware version 5.7.4 and now my custom screensaver is broken. ![]() Since I could only upgrade from the previous firmware by manually downloading the update file, I figured that the Kindle couldn't update itself and I was content with leaving it alone and always online. I did nothing else with the device that was out of the ordinary. I had my Kindle Jailbroken on version 5.7.2 specifically to set a custom screensaver. ![]()
